Privacy policy

Acynx (9565-6088 Québec inc.) processes personal information in accordance with Quebec Law 25. This policy explains what information is collected, why, and how you can exercise your rights. Last updated: May 6, 2026.

1. Personal information protection officer

Pursuant to the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Quebec Law 25), the designated officer is:

2. Information collected

Acynx collects the following information:

  • Contact data: name, email, company name, phone (contact form).
  • Communications: content of messages you send via the form or by email.
  • Navigation data: pages visited, duration, device type — only after your explicit consent (cookie banner).
  • Contractual data: billing information for clients under active contract.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Respond to your inquiries and establish a first commercial contact.
  • Execute the service contract if you subscribe to a plan.
  • Issue billing (GST / QST) as required by law.
  • Improve the site (aggregate analytics) — solely on the basis of your consent.

4. Legal basis

Processing relies on (a) your consent, (b) the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or (c) compliance with a legal obligation (in particular, tax obligations).

5. Retention

  • Contact form data: retained for 24 months after the last interaction, then deleted.
  • Contractual and billing data: retained for 7 years, in compliance with Canadian tax obligations.
  • Aggregate analytics data: retained for 14 months maximum.

6. Your rights

Under Quebec Law 25, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information Acynx holds about you.
  • Request its rectification if inaccurate.
  • Request its deletion (subject to overriding legal obligations).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Request the portability of your data in a structured, commonly used electronic format.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).

7. Cookies

Acynx uses cookies essential to the site's operation without requiring consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are placed only after your opt-in via the consent banner. You can change your preferences at any time by resetting your choice from the footer.

8. Sharing with third parties

Acynx does not sell or rent your information. Technical sub-processors used (hosting, transactional email, analytics) are bound by contract to equivalent standards:

  • Vercel inc. (hosting) — United States
  • Resend inc. (transactional email) — United States
  • Cloudflare inc. (CDN, DNS, WAF) — United States
  • Supabase inc. (database, optional) — Singapore / Canada

Pursuant to Law 25, a privacy impact assessment (PIA) is conducted before any transfer outside Quebec.

9. Security

Acynx applies proportionate technical and organizational measures: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), least-privilege access management, incident logging, and prompt notification to the CAI and affected individuals in the event of a confirmed confidentiality incident.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page. A material change will be notified by email to active clients.
